Welcome to Home Pool Tables a 3rd generation family owned business striving to offer the very best in British made quality slate bed pool tables at affordable prices.
Our origins began in 1974 with the early manufacturing and supply of coin operated pool tables to the licence trade, youth clubs and leisure centres. During this time the company also supplied pool tables for competitions and commercial use throughout the country.
Our late father was directly involved with the development of the early renowned Super league 7 x 4 standard pool table model, designing and manufacturing our own coin operated table for supply to pubs and clubs. That format developed into the specification of what has become known as the UK 8 ball pool table. Subsequently the company then became a distributor for the HGM Super league Pool Tables by the early 1980’s.
Throughout the 1990’s the company had over 2000 pieces of amusement equipment in operation and had established a team of table fitters installing snooker tables and providing a table installation recovering and refurbishment service to snooker halls and private clubs, suppling various sizes of tables from 6 foot versions to full size 12 foot steel block competition tables.
By the late 1990’s the domestic pool table market began to develop. The main manufacturers of coin operated tables turned their attention to developing slate bed pool tables more suited for domestic home use in various designs and styles with different laminate choices and cloth colour options previously unavailable.
2016 saw the company move out of the amusement equipment operating business redesigning our offices in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire into Scotland’s largest Pool and Snooker Showroom with an in house workshop and warehousing facility. The emphasis on providing commercial grade tables, Made in the UK and tailored to each of our customers own preferences. Currently we have some unique products manufactured exclusively for ourselves following feedback from our customer base to improve each aspect of our product range. Our experienced team are available via phone, email, messenger and Facebook throughout working hours and even into the evenings to assist with any technical questions or product advice queries to ensure we find you the correct table for your needs.
We currently have a fleet of delivery vehicle’s and an additional storage and distribution facility in the midlands allowing us a faster chain of distribution for all our customers nationwide.
